Antichissima roccaforte a difesa di Firenze fin dall'Anno Mille, il Castello di Nipozzano è la proprietà più celebre e storica della famiglia Frescobaldi. Per la tradizione popolare Nipozzano significa “senza pozzo”, a testimoniare che la zona era povera d'acqua, circostanza ideale per la coltivazione della vite. Il castello e la tenuta vinicola si trovano a est di Firenze, nel cuore del prestigioso territorio del Chianti Rufina, proprio sul versante montuoso che si affaccia sulla valle del fiume Arno. Grazie al perfetto equilibrio tra altitudine, suolo e microclima fresco e ventilato, le differenti varietà trovano le condizioni ideali per una crescita perfetta e permettono di produrre vini dal carattere armonioso e dalla forte longevità. Il Chianti Rùfina Riserva è uno degli storici vini dell’azienda, simbolo della tradizione vitivinicola toscana: lasciato maturare per circa 24 mesi in barrique di secondo e terzo passaggio è vino complesso, intenso, fine, capace di mantenere un saldo legame con lo stile del territorio.
