Exceptional Racing chronograph by Nappey Besançon. Large 45 x 40 mm monocoque steel case, which makes it a very wearable watch these days. The case is unpolished and therefore still has all lines. Wonderful bluish grey dial with steel and orange/pink applied baton markers. The orange markers, which have discoloured beautifully into bright pink, perfectly match the chrono hands. The dial furthermore features TV-shaped subdials, which is very characteristic of the late 1960s. The hand set is very special and I have not seen it before. These rounded steel hands feature tritium lume circles which go from large to small. Besides this, the watch also has a raised chapter ring with a checkered flag pattern. Which adds an especially beautiful depth effect to the dial. The watch comes on a dark blue new old stock Hirsch racing strap, which perfectly matches the dial. The Valjoux 7733 might need some servicing in the near future. This strap can be adjusted to fit a wrist size of up to 20 cm. The lot will be carefully packaged and shipped by insured post.
