Ernestine "Dé" Marie Tijdeman (Palembang (Dutch Indies) 1889-1967 The Hague)
Painted and drew portraits, figures, flowers and still lifes. She was educated at the academy in the Hague, where she also lived for most of her life. She was married to the painter John Ruys from 1918 to 1923. In that period she signed her work with Dé Ruijs-Tydeman.

The canvas was framed by "Artistiek Atelier Loef" in Bennebroek.
The work is evalued in September 2017 by notary office Arnhem on an evaluation day in 't Oude Slot in Heemstede.

41 x 60 cm (canvas).
ca. 47 x 66 cm (frame)
The canvas is in very good condition and the frame is thus in new condition.
On the right, there is a bit along the frame that has remained unpainted. There is no damage!
A wonderful work of Tijdman.
She has previously painted the mother feline as a kitten (see the last photo, Simonis & Buunk)
The painting will be properly packaged and shipped by registered mail with PostNL.
